Time and attendance software reduces administrative work in departments

Two Yorkshire police forces will share two departments in order to save money. South Yorkshire and Humberside police authorities calculate some £2.5m per year could be saved by the move to combine their human resources and training departments. Ian Watson, who joined Humberside Police four years ago, became the forces’ joint HR manager last year to save them £65,000. He said the measure would also “reduce duplication, improve ways of working, share expertise and reduce bureaucracy”.
