South Yorkshire and Humberside police authorities calculate some £2.5m per year could be saved by the move to combine their human resources and training departments. Ian Watson, who joined Humberside Police four years ago, became the forces’ joint HR manager last year to save them £65,000. He said the measure would also “reduce duplication, improve ways of working, share expertise and reduce bureaucracy”.

At Time and Attendance North East, we have been working with electronic time and attendance systems since 1991 and have a history of providing excellent systems which save your organisation time and money. Time and attendance software reduces the administrative work of managing paper clock cards or time slips and removes the associated clerical inaccuracies and errors. They can also cut down on time theft and increase the security and monitoring of staff attendance, especially when there are more than 20 employees to monitor.
