Smart cards for clocking have factory encoded ID code that cannot be duplicated
A new machine enables customers to pre-pay for pints using swipe cards in a Hoyland pub. Licensing officers from Barnsley Council are due to visit the premises. Management confirmed under 18s at the Queen’s Head could not take advantage. “If anyone comes to the bar and buys a card and then gives it to someone underage, we can see who is using the machine so we just block that card,” said landlord Dave Barron.
Time and Attendance North East use proximity read smart cards or fobs for clocking in and out of our systems. This scanning technology is safer, more reliable and swifter than most swipe card networks as the card has no contact with the scanner. The factory encoded ID code cannot be duplicated, therefore it is very secure. Adhesive labels for a photo and company logo can be supplied for the card, which is the size of a standard credit card and thin enough to be carried in your wallet.
