Proactive clocking system issues alerts on events such as a network failure
Workers in Ashington are among those who have today (Thursday) begun a 24-hour strike. They are protesting at plans to close facilities for disabled staff at Remploy. Ashington is one of 27 loss-making factories that would be closing between August and mid-December, putting 1,421 jobs at risk. Other Remploy sites in the North East region which are set to close include: Gateshead, Leeds and Newcastle. Workers at all 54 factories have taken part in protests at the government plans.
WinTAnet from Time and Attendance North East is a proactive works clocking system that keeps management abreast of events. It does this by automatically emailing or SMS text messaging both employees and system users. For example, it informs about employee holiday request authorisations or refusals. It also contains features such as supervisor notifications of employees who have not clocked in after their start core time; plus system administrators alerts for a range of configurable system events, such as a network failure.
