Phase one of £200m development in Durham City is ready for submission

David Wilson Homes has expressed its interest to build 61 detached, four and five-bedroom homes on a 12-acre portion at the southern end of the Mount Oswald site, which represents the first phase of a £200m development in Durham City.

According to a news report on the matter, back in February this year, Durham-based Banks Group secured planning permission from the county council for its comprehensive proposals for the Mount Oswald site, which encompass an education quarter, new formal and informal public open spaces and a range of new community facilities, as well as executive housing.

The overall scheme, which was designed by Banks in support of the council’s vision of Durham City acting as a driver of economic growth in the county, will support more than 380 jobs during and after its development.

Given the sheer size of this redevelopment project (should it get approved, of course), there’s quite a clear and present need to implement a very strict and solid time and attendance and access control solution for all the sub-contractors that will ultimately get involved, and that’s specifically where Time & Attendance North East might be able to lend a helping hand.

Our systems are user-friendly, innovative and designed for the working environment. They also offer a wide array of features, such as support for contactless smart cards (which would really come in handy in a busy, dusty construction environment), as well as optional finger print biometrics and mobile phone SIM card support.

Moreover, the multi-user, networked, multi site Time and Attendance, Access Control, Fire Roll Call and security system includes European Working Time Directive checking and reporting and allows administrators to save up to 2000 employees, supports extensive shift management and payroll-related operations, the allocation of various pay bands, and much more.

If you’d like to find out more about the extensive workforce management solutions provided by Time & Attendance North East, just contact us, we’d be more than happy to answer every query you might have.
