Payroll system separates worked time into different overtime rates
Sheffield City Council says freezing staff pay for a third year could save £5 million. The council originally froze annual 1 per cent increases for workers for two years from 2011 to cut costs. John Mordecai, chair of the Sheffield branch of Unison, said: “We’re really annoyed about it. People are saying they are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet.” The GMB Union in Sheffield said it would gather on Monday (October 8) to discuss the matter.
Time and Attendance North East’s attendance recording and payroll systems include a number of basic rules which control how hours are calculated. These include settings to separate ‘worked time’ into: different overtime rates; and to handle night shift working. All methods of hours calculation are handled. There are various add-ons available that will help keep tabs on expenditure. For instance, an HR software application includes a Pay Reviewer and other wage function and this can be added to your time & attendance system.
