Nine absence reason codes can be stored in clocking stations
A Newcastle upon Tyne tribunal ruled that a security guard was entitled to take rest breaks during his shifts at an office block in the city. Gavin Ruddick began the action after he was refused a lavatory break during his 12-hour stints when he was posted at Zurich Financial Services in Newcastle. He was left in no doubt that if an incident occurred in which property was damaged while he was away from his post that he would be blamed. "It was impossible to last for 12 hours," he said. "This is a fantastic decision for security workers.”
Time and Attendance North East resolves all employees’ absence and clocking issues with its simple to use smart card clocking regime. When your workers clock in using the contactless cards or key fobs, the data is sent to the clever and comprehensive WinTA software for calculating their hours. Up to nine reason codes can also be stored in the clocking station. These allow clocking out for configurable reasons such as Dentist, Business or Smoking Break.
