Law firm set to make up to 7 percent of the staff redundant

Law firm Bond Dickinson, that was formed earlier this former following the merger of Bristol-headquartered Bond Pearce and Dickinson Dees in Newcastle, has revealed that it will have to make up to 7 percent of its staff redundant, as a result of duplication.

According to a report in the local media, most of the positions that will be made redundant represent support staff roles, and the company has already taken the necessary steps in order to provide voluntary redundancy enhancements to all affected staff.

In a statement, managing partner Jonathan Blair said: "Following the merger we have identified some new roles within the business but also inevitably some areas of duplication. We are consulting with those affected and our main priority is to focus on supporting them."
