Fast fingerprint readers provide proof of a contractor’s ID
An inmate has absconded from HMP Kirklevington Grange near Yarm. Bernard Sharkey was last seen carrying out community work at Newham Grange Farm in Coulby Newham at 12:30 BST last Thursday. Cleveland Police told members of the public not to approach Sharkey but to call 999 immediately. Officers said Sharkey has friends and family in the Morpeth area, plus family in the Grangetown area and he is probably still in the North East after a “number of sightings”.
Time and Attendance North East can integrate a type of Visitor Management System which we have specially adapted for prisons. Our range of fast-reading biometric fingerprint readers can also be used within the system to provide irrefutable proof that the visitor or contractor to your prison site is who they say they are. This is of particular importance in high security jails. The fingerprint technology does not rely on light but uses the electrical characteristics of the user’s skin to determine an individual’s true fingerprint.
