Businessman Victor Bassey pleaded guilty to a number of charges and was told he was facing jail. Airline recruitment agency Wynnwith Group is owed more than £70,000; Redcar website design company E-Strands is owed about £10,000; while former regional television reporter Jim Knight, who was hired by Bassey to handle media affairs, lost £13,000 in wages. Mr Knight said: “A lot of people were duped by him.”
