Clocking regime allows employees to have shifts for particular day changed in advance

The Tata Steel company in Scunthorpe will supply rails for a French line in a multi-million pound deal. Around 84,000 tonnes of steel will be manufactured by Tata at its Lincs base, before being finished at the company’s mill in Hayange, France. However this will not change previously announced job losses. Back in May, Tata announced plans to cut 1,200 jobs in Scunthorpe and the firm said the contract will not affect the ongoing restructuring process.
