60 new jobs created by new Gosforth Marks & Spencer food store

A new Marks & Spencer food store set to be opened in Gosforth will not only benefit the local community in terms of additional shopping options, but will also bring about 60 new jobs.

The site, located at the junction of Great North Road and Hollywood Avenue, will include an M&S cafe and 44 parking spaces. Since we’re talking about a very busy area, the council decided that, in order to get the required planning permission, Marks & Spencer would also make a financial contribution towards highway improvements.
