Yorkshire Ambulance Service workers are deciding upon whether to take industrial action over plans to take on emergency care assistants to work with paramedics. In the wake of the strike vote deputy chief executive at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Stephen Moir, said that its working relationship with the Unite union “has been deeply disappointing over a prolonged period”. Mr Moir added: “We have not received a constructive contribution” to the decisions the trust has had to make on its future.
