Web enabled factory supervisor notification when flagged employees clock in

Union legal action CCTV cameras Sheffield City Council Web mobile wireless Time & Attendance North East absenteeism lateness reporting factories offices SMS employees holiday supervisorUnion officials have threatened to take legal action over mandatory CCTV cameras in Sheffield taxis. Sheffield City Council made the decision to install the technology earlier this month, stating the cameras would help reduce abuse and violent attacks. However the GMB union is campaigning against this measure and said it had written to the council. It stated: “If we cannot revisit this decision with the council we will consider a legal challenge once we have received advice from our solicitors.”

Web enabled, mobile and wireless technology from Time & Attendance North East includes absenteeism and lateness reporting. The proactive system keeps management abreast of events at factories and offices. It does this by automatically emailing or SMS text messaging both employees and system users. For example it does this on matters like employee holiday request authorisations or refusals; supervisor notifications of employees who have not clocked in after their start core time; and supervisor notification when flagged employees clock in.
