Workers use iPhone App to view their remaining leave entitlements

Workers on the Tyne and Wear Metro took strike action for the twelfth time – and they are threatening to do it again soon. Management pointed out that services on the transport network have not been affected by previous industrial action by the cleaners. The workers have taken part in a protracted battle over their pay. The Rail, Maritime and Transport union said members would be back on the picket lines in 2013 “geared up for a victory”.
