A fight is taking place in Runswick Bay to save the village’s public toilets. Local people say Scarborough Borough Council (SBC) is not taking on board the views of local residents. SBC plans to build replacement toilets with disabled access in a car park situated across the road that runs down to the beach. The Runswick Bay Association is leading concerns around crossing a road to get to the proposed new toilets while the present ones are right on the beach.
